2007 Isabel's Cuvee Grenache Rose
We treat our Rose with the same care as the other wines which means it makes no financial sense but after one taste, we think you'll understand this is our labor of love. We de-stem and lightly crush these ��pink�� grapes before soaking on the skins for 36 hours at 55 degrees F. We then press to tank where the wine settles for 36 hours prior to going to neutral French oak barrels where both primary and secondary fermentation occur naturally while sur-lie . The wine is bottled early (usually late January) in order to preserve the fresh fruit character and provide us a pink wine to enjoy all spring and summer.
With a vibrant magenta hue our Rose is pure eye candy. Tangerine, watermelon, strawberry, apricot and sweet tomato all dance out of the glass. With a surprising weight and texture this is a full throttle pink wine that holds nothing back and with such a structured backbone of acidity and tannin will pair with an impressive array of cuisine. When it's this good why wait, we drink this all spring and summer and eagerly anticipate the next vintage when gone.
