Ours is the 1st Clairette to release in the U.S!
Inspired by several glorious Châteauneuf du Pape Blancs, we were determined make as many of the varietals as possible. Roussanne and Grenache Blanc have long held space in our cellar, followed years later by Picpoul. And now, after many years of trying, we are proud to be the first domestic winery to release a bottling of the obscure Clairette! This exciting inaugural vintage made up of 2/3 Clairette and 1/3 Picpoul will tingle your taste buds while refreshing your palate.
Our 2015 offers an imaginative bouquet of jasmine, honeysuckle and citrus blossoms flowing to a refreshing and zippy mid-palate and a smooth, lengthy finish. The freshness of under ripe melon, Japanese pear, and kiwi shine through. This seamless white holds purity, focus and freshness as its cornerstone.
