2015 Eliza, Barsotti Vineyard
She is the voice of Barsotti, speaking for Clairette, Picpoul, Vermentino, Roussanne & Grenache Blanc
Making wine is the most humbling and magical of endeavors. Wines provide a voice for the connection between the earth, the vine and the elements. Eliza is the voice for Barsotti Vineyards, as told through the many varietals we planted there in 2011 with the legendary Ron Mansfield.
I put him in a cradle of leaves and branches,
rocked him with the scent of winds and wild distances
- Elanor Rees, “Eliza & The Bear”
Tasting Note: As feminine as the name suggests, this wine shows off beautiful white floral aromatics, honeysuckle and dried basil. The flavor is fresh like stone fruit, with white nectarine monopolizing the spotlight. A savory component of green tea, balances out the citrus and stone fruit flavor profile.
