2016 Clairette Blanche

2016 Clairette Blanche

Barsotti Vineyard & one of only two domestic productions of this beautiful Southern Rhône varietal.

El Dorado

Inspired by several glorious Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blancs, we became determined many years ago to make as many of the varietals as possible. Roussanne and Grenache Blanc have long held space in our cellar, followed years later by Picpoul. And last year we released the obscure Clairette to positive response, as well as a small batch of sparkling Pet Nat Clairette. This second release is made up of 2/3 Clairette and 1/3 Picpoul will tingle your taste buds while refreshing your palate.

Tasting Note:

An imaginative bouquet of jasmine, honeysuckle and citrus blossoms flowing to a refreshing and zippy mid-palate and a smooth, lengthy finish. The freshness of underripe melon, Japanese pear, and kiwi shine through. This seamless white holds purity, focus and freshness as its cornerstone.
