2018 Grenache Blanc, Skin Ferment
The most esoteric and textured of our skin-ferments. The perfect wine for the adventurous palate!
Of all our skin ferments the Grenache Blanc is by far the most adventurous. The texture, the deep hue, the long, chewy, fleshy tannins that seem as if they will go on for hours. This wine demands attention and a table of food and will benefit from at least an hour of exposure to air or a decanting.
Tasting Note: Although initially shy, our skin-ferment Grenache Blanc opens up with a quick decant. Once you get past its introverted façade, you’ll notice it is playful and flirty — like a first glance of early Spring blossoms. On the nose, enticing notes of crystalized ginger, dried orange peel and a bit of baked apple. By the end of the bottle, you’ll be ready for full-blown Spring in no time!
