Event Details

  • Date:

An Evening with Michele Mitchell at Donkey & Goat

May 7 • Donkey & Goat, Berkeley

Join us for a special evening with Michele Mitchell, an award‑winning filmmaker known for bringing people together and sparking change through storytelling. On May 7th, she’ll be sharing an interactive, behind‑the‑scenes look at her latest project:

OG\*

(The Right Side of History, Wrong Side of the Law)

This exclusive session will feature selected work‑in‑progress scenes, a candid discussion about the filmmaking process, and a conversation about the communities and rule‑breakers at the heart of the film. Michele is intentionally breaking a few filmmaking rules by sharing early material — fitting for a film about challenging norms and building community.

We’re proud to host this event at Donkey & Goat, whose values of connection and creativity align deeply with the spirit of the project.

In Partnership with Secure Justice

Secure Justice, an organization dedicated to questioning who gets to make the rules, is partnering with Michele on this event. Executive Director Brian Hofer will offer introductory remarks and join the Q&A.
