UNFILTERED with Christopher Renfro
Radical Vines: Chris Renfro’s Mission to Re-Humanize the World Through Wine
In the natural wine movement, where it’s common practice to advocate for regenerative farming, sustainable food systems, low-intervention winemaking and a culture of inclusivity rather than pretense, there’s one person who stands apart in the scope and purpose of their work: Chris Renfro, through his 280 Project, aims not only to transform the culture of wine but, through his urban vineyard and horticulture and viticulture program in the heart of San Francisco, he aims to change the dynamics of race in America. Join us on Thursday October 9th at Donkey & Goat for an evening with Chris, as he pours wine from his San Francisco vineyard, introduces us to some of the winemakers (and their wines) he trained at Alemany and explains why they just might be making the most important wine in America.

Pét Nat Brunch & Pumpkin Patch
Join us for the first of our monthly Pét Nat Series!
On Sunday, October 12, we’re teaming up with Park Day School’s Parents Association for a festive gathering with a pumpkin patch, pancakes, and a petting zoo – oh my! Bring the kids out and sip our bright and bubbly Pét Nat, dig into delights from All Pau, and expect some surprises (hint – it’s in our name!). Proceeds from the pumpkin patch and a portion of wine sales will go back to Park Day to support teacher appreciation, parent ed events, affinity groups, and more, so every sip helps! It’s the perfect way to spend an early autumn Sunday in Berkeley with family, friends, and community.

UNFILTERED with Nat Wong, Blade & Talon
During a visit to the Loire Valley, Nat Wong (Blade and Talon) had an epiphany when he took one sip of a Cab Franc. Upon his return home, his prior career in Ornithology was quickly in the past, as he pursued winemaking in Carmel Valley (what just one drink can do to a man!).
Join us Thursday, October 16 for a conversation with master falconer and winemaker, Nat Wong as he takes us on a storytelling journey of his experience.
RSVP appreciated, drop-ins welcome!

UNFILTERED with Anthony Beckman & Alissa Lind, Cruess Wine
Alissa and Anthony started Cruess in 2014 with the dream to make unique, elegant wines from Sonoma County. When they met in the early 2000’s, both working tech jobs in SF, they realized they spent all their time and money on drinking and tasting wine. So, In 2003 they quit their jobs and started over. This meant leaving behind a life of relative comfort and ease for several years of hard work and very low pay. Harvest internships, student teaching, sweating their asses off sans-AC in a tiny Mid-town Sac apartment (rosé, anyone?). Working as the wine buyer at small grocery store while kicking ass at UC Davis’ V&E program. Drinking lots and lots of wine.

UNFILTERED with William Allen, Two Shepherds
So many varietals, so little time. And William Allen is on a mission to understand them all. William’s wine hobby not only outgrew his garage, it swallowed his house and eventually his life. An avid wine-blogger and Rhone enthusiast, Allen now manages an incredible array of varietals ranging from from Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault, Pinot Meunier, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Grenache Blanc, Vermentino, Picpoul, Viognier…you get the picture. The more obscure the varietal, the more excited William gets. He releases about 15 different wines each vintage, but all in 25-400 case lots!
